Lee Sobel and the Milk Bar present

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Greater Sirens are a new wave/postpunk-influenced indie rock band formed in 2007 by brothers Greg and Tim Andresen. Greg’s guitar-esque bass playing paired with Tim’s precise drumming helped shape the unique sound of the band. Nastaran Amini and Matt Whitbred joined the following year. Matt assumed the role of a more conventional bassist, while Nastaran took over on keyboards. In 2009, Steve Taylor filled the final position as lead guitarist.

Their debut EP, For the Birds, was recorded and mixed at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley in early 2011. Jesse Nichols, who engineered the EP, describes Greater Sirens’ sound as, “modern, sharp, indie rock that’s not afraid of the ‘80s.” For the Birds was released on April 30th, 2012.

Longtime friend Bobby Savre replaced Nastaran on keyboards in 2013, and has since helped to refine the more electronic and keyboard-centric sound of the band's newer material. Greater Sirens are currently in the process of recording their first full-length album, this time with Greg both engineering and producing.

The Diablo Dukes are an instrumental rock group from the San Francisco Bay Area formed by the triumvirate of Seth Chapla on electric guitar, Peter Thomas on drums, and Stephen Goodwin on bass. From low and slow to high and fast, the Dukes' music is characterized by adventurous romps through a cornucopia of different musical styles and feels. Each song is a unique journey - featuring soaring melodies, searing instrumental solos, shifting time signatures, and funky grooves. It's safe to say that there is very little these 3 musicians cannot conquer in the realm of instrumental music, so sit back, relax, and let the fiery music of the Diablo Dukes wash over you like liquid magma...
